 Closer Walk With Jesus

Lately, I’ve found myself reminiscing over the words I’ve been reading—words that seem to echo deep within my spirit. The more I reflect, the more I sense that God is gently inviting me to know Him more intimately. It’s as if He’s using these moments of quiet reflection to teach me, to draw me closer.

In times of difficulty, when the path ahead feels uncertain, I realize how important it is to truly know Him—not just know about Him, but to walk with Him, to trust Him, and to lean into His presence. The passage I’ve been meditating on speaks clearly to my heart: it’s a call to deepen my relationship with Him, to walk more closely, more faithfully.

Mark 8:27–30 –

Jesus had been walking with His disciples for some time, teaching them and showing them His works. At this point, He wanted to know whether they truly understood who He is.

So He asked them, “Who do people say I am?” The people were confused—some thought He was John the Baptist, others Elijah, or one of the prophets.

But Peter spoke up:  “You are the Christ.”

This passage reminds me that to truly understand who Jesus is, we need to walk closely with Him.

The crowd could not recognize Him because they only saw Him from a distance. But the disciples, who walked with Him daily, began to see His true identity.

My prayer is to have that kind of closeness with Jesus—walking daily with Him, listening to Him, and recognizing Him as my Savior and Lord.

“Just a closer walk with Thee,

Grant it, Jesus, is my plea.

Daily walking close to Thee,

Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.”

My Art -Shadow

“I wanted to practice painting a shadow few weeks ago —just focusing on light, shape, and depth. Still figuring it out, but it’s fun experimenting!”

This helps me to not focus on all my worries, but the beauty of painting can relax my mind

Believe His Word

Once again, through hardship, I turned to God.

Most of the time, I feel like I am buried in problems, heartaches.  Cannot understand why I have to always go through these things.

This section from Mark chapter 8, shows me how to live.....

Mark 8:22-26

In Bethsaida, a blind man was brought to Jesus for healing. But before the miracle took place, Jesus led him out of the village. Why? Because Bethsaida was a place of unbelief—a place where people refused to repent.

Outside the village, Jesus touched the man. his eyes were opened, and he received his sight. Then Jesus warned him, “Do not go back into the village.”

This speaks to me deeply. If I remain in an environment filled with doubt and unrepentance, I cannot receive God’s blessing. But when I step away—when I turn from sin and unbelief—Jesus brings healing, not only to my eyes, but to my spirit.

My Prayer:

Lord, help me to believe Your Word. When You convict me, give me the courage to repent and walk away from sin—never to go back again.

 To Hear His Voice

I was facing some difficulties lately, and with that I looked to God.  What He was speaking to me through this section was amazing wisdom;

 Mark 8:11–21,

the first thing that stood out to me was how Jesus responded when people tried to find fault with Him—He simply said what He needed to say and left, without staying to argue.

I need to learn this same wisdom: to walk away when I am not accepted, instead of getting drawn into unnecessary debates.

Another lesson came when Jesus warned His disciples to beware of the Pharisees, yet they were distracted, thinking only about not having bread. This reminds me that Jesus is always by our side, trying to teach us, but often we are too focused on our present situations and lacking certain things, to hear His voice. That is why He tells us to give our burdens to Him. Many times I pray and ask Him to take my problems, yet I keep carrying them in my mind, unable to rest and listen.

My prayer is: Lord, help me to truly lay every issue at Your feet and leave it there. Teach me to rest in Your presence and to hear Your voice above all my worries.

 Love Him

Mark 6:53-56

Some came for what Jesus could do – they saw the miracles, the healings, the power, and they rushed to Him hoping for help, it can also be that they were curious to see what’s happening

Others came because they believed in who He was – they had heard of Him, trusted in His power, and had faith not just in the miracles, but who Jesus is

Now I am thinking: what category am I?

Am I growing closer to knowing, trusting, and loving Him more?

My prayer:

Lord; I want to be closer to you, loving you and trusting in you.

For that to happen, I have to let go of many things that is not from you.

Lord with your help I am able to love you & trust in you

This morning, as I sat down to pray and read Scripture, it suddenly dawned on me that Jesus is always listening to us. Sometimes we talk a...
