Today is another day to thank God. He has always been my helper. 

He has protected me and given me peace. 

Reading His Word helps me understand how to live my life in a way that pleases Him.

In this passage, Luke 14:7–14, I learned two important things:

• Not to seek power or popularity.
• To be a friend to those who are less fortunate.
